The FRC Design Handbook Series began as a repository of useful knowledge that can be passed down to future members of Team 4817. As the first compilation of Macro Design training material took shape, it became evident that this information would be useful to many more aspiring engineers around the world who share the desire to take their FRC team to the next level.

Macro Design: Getting Ready for the Game Drop (Volume 1)
FRC Teams start a new season each year with the Game Drop on the first weekend of January. If you are planning to iterate the team to a new level of readiness for the game season, a good place to start is by upgrading the engineering knowledge base and skills of team members. This handbook was written with this purpose in mind. Learn about mechanisms and the macro design process to be ready for the Game Drop.
