Team 2910 is one of the strong FRC teams that consistently wins regionals and makes in roads into the World Championships. This robot was Team 2910's take on the 2018 FRC Game, Power Up.
Their robot features a swerve drivebase with custom swerve modules, making them one of the earlier adopters of swerve before the more powerful brushless motors were made legal in FRC.
To deal with the unpredictable nature of the Power Cubes' orientation on the field, Team 2910 opted to use a through bumper intake to bring Power Cubes into the robot and to reorientate them before they were then passed on to the robot's claw. Team 2910 seemingly changed the front roller wheels from the green Andymark wheels to the red flipper wheels presumably because they worked better.
Team 2910's claw design features a series of belts and low durometer wheels to effectively grab on to Power Cubes. The roller claw is brought up by a 2 stage continuous lift which allows for the claw to reach high enough to deposit Power Cubes on an elevated Plate of the Scale. This continuous lift doubles as a climbing mechanism, using static hooks to climb on to the Rung.
